Background
Size of wheel sets is an important indicator to measure the technical conditions. In recent years, with the development of high-speed railway, the traffic density, load capacity of the railway are growing, so the safety of transportation becomes critical. The system is a guarantee for the safety of a train, it can be used in online survey, locomotive warehousing survey, high-speed rail warehousing survey, subway warehousing survey and etc.
Requirements
The vehicle wheel sets fault and dimension dynamic detection system needs to detect the wheel sets geometric and location parameters, so that can check the tread wear and the flange wear.
Solution
The detection system integrates DAHENG IMAGING industrial camera, lens, lasers and computer. In this system, some near-infrared lasers are used. The near-infrared lasers are more suitable in the outdoor environment than the red spectrum lasers, because the visible spectrum laser is easy to be interfered by the sun light, some near-infrared cameras with some near-infrared lasers are required. By computer analysis, the system can forecast the safety status of the vehicle wheel set, and make it convenient to deal with the failure of the vehicle in time.
